Enamel

Handpicked on Etsy
These Etsy jewelry artists explore enamel's possibilities with its intriquing color effects, referencing styles ranging from modern minimalist to nature-inspired, organic Arts & Crafts style of the late 19th Century. Ornamental enamel brings to mind traditional Cloisonne' or designers such as Louis Comfort Tiffany, and we often see it in baubles produced for the mass market. These wearable adornments remind us of what enamel combined with metal can become in the hands of a talented artist. Click on the pictures to go directly to these Etsy listings. Prices range from $32.00 to $255.00.

Thanks Michelle and Natsuko for stopping by and for following! I'm delighted to feature your great work will continue to re-feature with special attention to those of you who chime in and participate here at EtsyLounge. We all need to do what we can to "raise the bar" and get more notice for the amazing talent that too often gets lost on Etsy.

Tammy, I want everything, too, not to mention every other item featured on this blog to date. Need more money to buy and horde all these treasures for myself!

Congratulations to all. Enameling is an ancient art and it is so exciting to see contemporary artisans approach the medium in such unique works. I am particularly impressed with the Celtic influences seen in some of the pieces. It reminds me of the collections discovered in the ancient Suton Hoo Ship site.

Great works; I will visit each of the shops during the next week to see more works by these great artisans.

Many thanks to Andria for being our artistic mentor. You are greatly appreciated.

Cool news! Indigoflameworks tweeted and FB'd her mention. Today her featured piece sold!! We're assuming a connection between appearing on EtsyLounge and today's sale. That means this blog is doing its job! (Hint hint everybody: We should all tweet and toot our horns, and use this Lounge to make good things happen for ourselves)
