Critters in Motion: Art from Etsy
Handpicked on Etsy
Animated animals are my theme today, and these are among the few that charmed my eye from the search pages of Etsy. It took a bit of digging to find these standouts which appeal to me for artistic technique, and for the fondly humorous depiction of animal subjects performing playful human activities -- dancing, leaping ebulliently, riding. Most of these artists are new to me, and several have not yet achieved the recognition they deserve on Etsy. Click on the pictures to go directly to these Etsy listings. Prices range from $18.00 to $110.00
From top left to bottom right, today's artists include: kinellaart, bluedogrose, retrowhale, blackoutwell, SisterWilde, greyhounddawgs, Tosya, IngridGlaw, bluedogrose, bluedogrose

Thanks for the feature, great picks, love that horse.
Delightful choices!
These are beautiful! What a nice theme.
You have a good eye - thanks for including my greyhound dawgs dancing in the woods! they look terrific with all the other works you found. You must have put a lot of time into this project!
You're welcome, Mary. I love your work and your dedication to these lovely dawgs!
You are right -- Doing this blog is a time consuming project, but I feel it is worthwhile to help raise the bar for all of us. So much of the best work on Etsy hides in the shadows, attracting little attention. It can be discouraging for good artists to receive little recognition, when they compare their work to what sells or appears on Etsy's front page.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you will follow this blog and add your voice.
total fun! and Bicycle mouse looks just like me, lol....
hehe..I do see a little resemblance, Maurice. :)
All great picks!
I love the whimsy and playfulness of this collection.
This is my favorite assemblage from this week, too! It puts a smile on my face.
What a delightfully whimsical selection. I particularly enjoyed the dancing rabbits.
