Me wearing my Nevada Green Turquoise Choker
CURRENT LIFE: Mainly I'm a fiber artist and my latest work can be viewed at my blog, andriasenini.blogspot.com In addition to local venues, I sell online at KatsaraYarns.etsy.com
But wait...there's more! I have two more Etsy stores for my other passions:
Clothing & Fashion: ModernEraDesign.etsy.com
Jewelry and Artisanal Fragrances: Piacere.etsy.com
PAST LIFE: After training at UCLA in design and environmental arts, my passion for textiles inspired me to create a custom line of handwoven upholstery textiles. That business took over my life for the next two decades. Andria Senini Design custom textiles were marketed internationally to interior designers via designer trade showrooms, and graced sofas, chairs and bedrooms in beautiful homes and yachts all over the world.
In 2001, while still running my textile business, I began test marketing my handpainted luxury yarns from my woven fabrics, and opened my first website, http://www.katsarayarns.com/. It dawned on me that there was a world of creativity beckoning beyond my production looms and wholesale marketing endeavors. I re-discovered the joys of making small one-of-a-kind creations with my own two hands, built up an inventory, and then opened my Etsy store, Katsarayarns, in 2007, where I sell my overrun yarns and my one-of-a-kind fiber creations
Creating one-of-a-kind fiber designs led me to experiment in making jewelry to embellish some of my textile creations, and a new addiction to making jewelry was added to my vices.
In my Etsy adventures, I have run across so many wonderfully talented artists and have noticed too many of them go unnoticed in the nooks and crannies of Etsy's search pages. So, I created this blog as my one-woman crusade to muster up more attention for Etsy brilliance that deserves more recognition. I hope you will join this blog as a follower, and add to the synergy by chiming in with your comments, tout your own products if you're an artist, and by telling your friends to visit and discover the wonderful artists featured here.
To get the most out of this blog, please use the archive drop down list to see past topics. Each topic is like a little gallery leading to new discoveries, your own private retreat to visit and take you away from your day for a few minutes.
