Storque Yourself: An Invitation to Followers of EtsyLounge

I've been reviewing my goals for this blog, which started out last year as an effort to boost the truly artistic, unique and the very best of Etsy. What I've hoped for is more interaction, which is what generates synergy for all of us.

So, I'm thinking the way forward is to create a Storque-like feature, in which featured artisans who've chosen to follow EtsyLounge can promote themselves and give us a more in-depth look at their work, their studios, their goals, their story.

My question for you: Would I have your support if I put the time into creating opportunity for you? I know many of you have your own blogs, but as we all know, it is the linkage that raises our SEO ratings and thus, it is through interaction with other blogs that we create internet synergy.

Question for Me: Can I pull this off? (As a non-geek, so far I've found one interactive gadget using Friends Connect. It's a start, and I'll keep working on it...scroll all the way down to the bottom to see it, and feel free to fill out the questionnaire if you'd like to be blogged!)

A great big YES! I am going to try this studio as a full time business now and my goal is to have the web studio be about 30 to 40 % of my sales, which means I have to do some ground work.

I will be happy to help as I a continually inspired by what you do.

I'll be a beginner at this but will put in the time needed with your instructions.
Many thanks for your wonderful enthusiasm for the arts.

Thanks, Colleen! You've been such an encouragement to myself and the other artists featured here.

I'm hoping Blogger has a "gadget-widget" type feature that will lend itself to this purpose and, hopefully, be super simple for everybody to use.

I think it's a wonderful idea and you are very kind to do this. I LOVE your blog. You really do find amazing Etsy work. As a blogger too, I know it's a lot of work and sometimes the pay back is not large. That's why we have to love doing it. Thanks again and keep us posted. Thanks, Susan. I'm realizing what a non-geek I am! I'm experimenting with a poll/questionnaire gadget using Google Friends Connect...It has a long way to go, but if you want to take a peek at it, scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page. Kinda laughable, but its a start :)

I think it's a wonderful idea! I end up calling in tech support for blog changes myself, so don't feel bad - and don't be scared to ask folks on Twitter what's up if you mess something up. I've been suuuuper lucky to get help there :)

Thanks, Beth -- I never thought of tweeting for help! Do you just tweet to the world, or do you follow a specific person or group who knows this stuff?
