Casseroles: Festive Handcrafted Cookware on Etsy

Handpicked on Etsy
Holiday season in America goes into full gear with Thanksgiving, our day for celebrating nature's bounty with family and close friends. My favorite style for the table and buffet is what I call "rustic-elegance," and I love an eclectic mix of serving pieces bringing in elements of warmth, comfort, autumnal motifs, harvest, and earthiness. Keeping these themes in mind, today I searched Etsy for handcrafted cookware that goes from oven to table, with the criterion that the pot comes with a lid. To my mind, these examples of hand-thrown pottery fit the Thanksgiving mood, and function perfectly to keep those comfort foods warm through the leisurely feast. Click on the pictures to go directly to these Etsy listings. Prices range from $38.00 to $120.00.
From top left to bottom right, today's featured artists include: johnnypotter, Hodakapottery, kaharrison2, OneClayBead, dkpottery, winkinglizardpottery, baumanstoneware, winkinglizardpottery

Fantastic picks! I think if I had cookware like this, I'd spend more time cooking!

I absolutely agree! I get inspired to try a new recipe or entertain when I look at my favorite pots.

Also, I'm a stickler for serving my food piping hot when I entertain, and nothing works as well as stoneware for that.

I love having great baking and serving pieces. I live rurally and we go to potluck dinners, so mine get used often! Thanks for featuring my Night Chi casserole! (I am OneClayBead on Etsy)

Andria's work on this blog benefits all of us, as both artisans and patrons. Once again, I was so inspired by the picks that when I visited the shops, I couldn't resist making a purchase.

So... if you liked the autumn leaf pottery from winkinglizard, you are just too late. I bought it. All of the selections were so great, I wish I could have purchased all of them, but then again- that would be an addiction.

Colleen -- As always, I admire your taste! I find it most delightful whenever I hear from somebody that this blog led directly to a sale for one of the featured artists :)

As for myself, I'm hopelessly addicted to cookware and would buy all the remaining pots featured here if I had any space left in my kitchen. (Still, there's always room for one more.......)
Cheers,
Andria
