Puce: Color Scheming on Etsy
Handpicked on Etsy
Puce is a shade of red, denoting reddish-brown and purplish-brown, named after the French word for 'flea.' The earthy colors of iron-ore and rusted metal come to mind when I think of puce. It is a color that seems to go with nearly everything as a wearable accessory or within any decor, and is often associated with the fall season. Today I decided to seek out beautiful creations by talented Etsy artists in color palettes that incorporate rich shades of earthy reds. Click on the pictures to go directly to these listings. Prices range from $7.00 to $350.00.
From top left to bottom right, today's featured Etsy artisans include: KatHannah, Greenman13, theredfairy, klcrafts, Lvoffstudio, Gypsymoondesigns, mountainmist, northernstars, delacyonline, red2white

You're all most welcome and thanks for visiting.
Many people have heard of the word 'puce' and are aware it is a color, but aren't sure exactly what it is. It isn't a word used much in Etsy tags, so I used the terms 'red and brown' to narrow my search for these lovely pieces.
The colors are absolutely gorgeous and matching well with the rest of the Fall/Winter colors that are in style this season. Thank you for including my Dinosaur Bone ring in your colection. I also had no idea what exactly the color "puce" is. I would love to read more about different unique colors and see matching items. Great blog.

What a beautiful selection of reds! I guess I never really understood what puce was, either!
Thank you for including my Lacy Multicolor Knitted Capelet!
